Ideally you’d perform some exercise on six days of the week, of a nature that is moderate to vigorous, for at least 30 minutes. If that sounds like a lot, remember that does include brisk walking, which could be the most accessible form of exercise for most of us.
As well as that, guidelines indicate that strength exercise using resistance such as body weight, dumbbells or a resistance band are best completed on 2 to 3 days. If you haven’t done any strength training before then getting advice from a qualified trainer will help reduce the chances of injury, and ensure you are doing exercises that are right for you and your goals.
