After much recent ‘busy-ness,’ it was a very welcome break to have some of my close family over, to go out for a meal and a beach walk yesterday.
I think sometimes we underestimate the power of close family ties and bonding, on our own wellness.
Obviously this can be conversely true, but if you are lucky enough to have a strong family network and support, it has been shown to have a significant positive impact on;
self esteem, mental and physical health, emotional support, lowering negative stress levels, and even financial benefits!
I have had a number of clients building their fitness and health, specifically to be a good role model to their children.
Leading by example.
If we want our children to have a healthy lifestyle it makes sense that we do the same!
We are all busy in our own ways, but this weekend shows just how important it is to prioritise family, and to make time for ‘connecting’.
