With so much health & fitness information (perhaps it should be called ‘misinformation’) being bandied about, especially at this time of year, it’s hard to sort the wheat from the chaff!
The UK diet industry is worth in the region of £2 billion a year!
What concerns me most is that, where money is to be made, many times its not with the persons best interests at heart – it’s the company’s bottom line!
As mentioned in my previous blog, the clients I see at Personal Space have varying needs, but one very common factor is getting in shape- lower bodyfat, toned or defined muscles, looking better!
What do you need to do to ensure this happens?
It pays to learn what works for you – you become your own detective!
Yes it’s good to try new things to challenge your body but also you can learn from others, this is where the education comes in!
Looking at results based programmes, research findings & making sense of this. Being able to disseminate the findings in a clear & practical, hands on way!
This is where we come in! We are the sorters of wheat & chaff, the right from the wrong, the realistic from the absolute baloney!
If something seems too good to be true- it generally is!
Wild claims in unrealistic timescales, advatorials that lead you to believe it’s the solution to all your problems – Limescale cleaner & fat melter – in one? Bang! And the fat is gone! (If only!)
So how are you going to make this year different to all the other years of New Years resolutions?
How about by NOT making any?
What about trying to work out what actually works for you in the long term?
What about stopping the yo-yo dieting & developing a plan that’s sustainable?
Wouldn’t that feel amazing?
Is this attainable? YES!
I am going to be providing you with plenty of pertinent information over the coming months.
I will share with you what I’ve learnt myself in my own training & what Ive learnt from training many clients!
